I found this place right down on the peer in Long Beach when looking online because Kelly and I were going down to see the Star Trek Tour at the Queen Mary. It is a large restaurant right at the end of the boardwalk (which seems a plastic fantastic version of Oaks Bluffs on Marthas Vineyard). It is quite large and has indoor and outdoor seating as well as a sushi bar. The service is good, and the food was quite tasty. I would certainly try this place again if I was in Long Beach.

Kelly and I wouldn’t even have known this place if we didn’t go with Tara and Rick. It is a cool looking place, built in the old 1920′s firehouse for the era, with hardwood floors, and craftsman light fixtures, and covered in photos celebrating the old history of Hollywood. Parking is non-existant, so pay for the parking, which is just North of it on Rowena. Their is a cool outside patio with heaters, and a huge bar, which is where the firetruck used to park, and is quite loud. And their is a smoking patio in the back, where the restrooms are. The main entrance is huge, and has a couple of chairs to wait, and check out all the old photos, they are very cool. The food and service was decent, but not great for the price. I have certainly had better, though the atmosphere was nice.

Right in the heart of downtown Burbank, and right by the AMC theaters, Kelly and I have eaten here before and kind of enjoyed it, but this experience I must say was pretty terrible, and I do not think we will be returning. The service was fine, but the food was pretty mediocre, and the breadsticks were tastless and awful, even with the oil at ever table, and even once we got a bottle of balsamic vinegar. I do like that they give you a pitcher of iced tea though. That is nice, but the food was only OK.

On our recent trip back to Annapolis to take care of my father’s dogs, my lovely girlfriend Kelly had been fiending for a Ruben, so when doing a little look at main street we saw the sign in the Market House, and decided to try it for lunch the next day. We were both expecting a restaurant, but when we went in we learned that the Market House is a city owned premises where various food places rent and have stands, and the Galway Bay was one of those stands, where you get your food and take it outside to sit at little tables around the building or stand up at bars around the inside in between the food stalls. We were a little put off, but decided to give it a try.

Kelly and I were driving to get some lunch in Burbank today, and decided to try this place, because of the sign about how great the corned beef was, so we decided to try the Reuben’s. The Reuben’s I must say were pretty tasty, though not quite as good as Victor’s. Well worth trying out in Burbank though.

Where my girlfriend wanted to eat was closed, so we kept driving down Riverside and saw this place right next to Baja Fresh, and decided to give it a try. I must say whomever wrote the menu did a fantastic job, because when you read it you will want to try everything. Everything sounds amazing, but the thing it is it is all lies. Especially ones like “WE ARE HOME OF THE GREASELESS PIZZA!” because this is damn greasy pizza, and the crust is just nasty. The food was terrible, and it took quite a long time as well. I was so unimpressed that I will never eat here again and tell anyone not to try this either.

I have been reading about this place for some time in Los Angeles, Magazine, and it kept ranting and raving about it, but I had never gone, probably because of it’s unlikely location in a mall next to Borders, a games shop, and Bed Bath and Beyond, but don’t let it’s location fool you. This is one of the 10 best meals I have ever had. Wow was this place good.

For my birthday dinner my mother took us out to dinner at this excellent seafood restaurant right on the lake with an amazing view of downtown Cleveland and the whole harbor. We got the best table in the house, right on the water, and the food was absolutely amazing. If you like seafood this place is top notch, and not that expensive at about $50 a person including appetizers, and if you can get the top notch seats then your view will be amazing.

This is a popular spot for islanders because of the excellent food, and we could tell because we had to wait for a table, though not too long. The menu is excellent with lots of choices including some delicious looking salads that were huge. We came for Chowder and sandwiches and were very pleased.
