The Jade Face Assassin by Yen Chuan (1970)
Yea you know it already, if Ho Li Li is in it I will probably be seeing it! And this was such a fun film! Sure it reminds me of the Silver Fox with Ho Li Li once again being the daughter of someone who grows up to be an amazing warrior, though I did enjoy this film more. This is a really great martial arts romp with Ho Li Li right in the forefront, and is well worth checking out. Damn I love these old Shaw Brother’s films!!

A couple is killed while leaving their clan with the martial arts of the clan, willfully given to his youngest daughter and her husband, but the 2 elder sisters have them killed and take one of the babies, leaving a second in retribution. The elder brother of the killed man is a skilled sworsdman, and shows up to find the couple dead, and the baby girl still their, so he heads to happy valley, a place where a group of evil martial artists have holed up, and they capture and severely wound him, and take the baby girl as their apprentice. 15 Years later the girl now played by Ho Li Li, and she is better than all of her teachers, and her uncle is almost healed. She leaves the valley to go find her mother’s killer, and instead finds a sleazy man, who does in fact have the martial arts manual from her parents. She saves a girl (who thinks she is a guy) and the girls brother keeps fighting her and trying to hurt her, but eventually it is learned that he is in fact her brother and they must fight the eldest sister who started all the trouble.
This is a really fun film, and Ho Li Li is just so cute!!
