Kind of the Korean version of Kids, about street punks, homeless teens in the Garibong Dong district of Seoul. Most interestingly Im actually lived among the homeless teens for 5 months to learn about them, and says that while the plot is fictional, the dialogue and situations are taken from real life. The film is all shot handheld Digital video. This is an enjoyable and well done film, and you do really feel for most of these kids by the end. It is dark and gritty subject matter though, and not for the feint of heart.

Han (Han Joon ??) is a kid who has run away from home, and is hanging out with his homeless street punk friend Jang (Bong Tae Hyu ???). At a club Jang gets nasty with the hostess girls and makes them take their tops off, though one, Sa Ri (Park Geun Yeong ???) has no bra on, and after he has hit her, she asks to go to the bathroom. Han takes her, and gives her his jacket and she escapes.

Eventually Jang hooks up with Ran (Cho Eung Ji ???) who he takes advantage of and even pimps for. She works as a hostess, for the ugly and older Yong Ho (Sung Ji Ru). Jang and Han stay with her. Eventually Han finds Sa Ri riding her motorcycle again, and they start seeing each other, and he moves in with her, though she won’t let him or anyone have sex with her. She ends up getting a job with Yong Ho as well, but Yong Ho continually harasses her and wants her for his own, chasing down Han.

Jang, Ran, Han and Sa Ri go on a vacation down to the shore, which is nasty and muddy, and we see that Jang is his own way does care for Ran. And Sa Ri finally lets Han sleep with her, telling him how she was raped as a kid and just used to lay there and look at her doll. When they return back Ran goes back to work, and Han takes Sa Ri home with him to move in. His mom isn’t happy, but his dad OK’s it. Things would be OK, but…

It seems someone was arrested and gave up Jang, who is up on rape charges. He needs to go on the run, but Ran’s father has found her and is beating her so he goes to help her, but the cops show up. Han tries to stop them and gets arrested as does Jang.

When Han gets out, he come in on a motorcycle looking for Sa Ri. He finds Ran who has a new pimp now, and is doing the same thing for another guy and he learns that Sa Ri is with Yong Ho now. She has fallen back into her old ways as she was before she met Han, hufffing gas all the time and drinking herself silly. Han goes to get her, but Yang Ho beats him, but when Yang Ho huffs Han lights it and blows up Yang Ho’s face, and his own arm, but he is able to leave with Sa Ri.

A very enjoyable film, all done on DV, and handheld. Hell I have got to make a film! I really have to! So many people are doing it and I have the camera and the talent, I need to make a movie.

I recommend this film, though it is brutal and hard. and many people would not want to see it, but it is a good and realistic film. Kids really are this fucked up and this stupid. And without drugs kids will end up huffing gas and doing other stupid things.
