Shrek 2 by Adam Adamson, Kelly Asbury and Conrad Vernon (2004)
This is the movie I watched on my first date with my girlfriend Nan Lan, and we both enjoyed it very much. And on the second viewing I enjoyed it as well. This is an excellent and enjoyable sequel and good family fun. Nothing serious, and with some great Hollywood in-jokes.

I don’t know about number 1 comedy off all time either, Annie Hall would have to top this one for sure, but it is good clean family fun.
Shrek (Mike Myers) and Fiona (Cameron Diaz) return from their honeymoon to Donkey (Eddie Murphy), when an invitation arrives from Fiona’s parent’s to come and visit them in Neverland. John Cleese is the King who isn’t too happy about his son in law or his daughter especially since he has a deal with the Fairy God Mother (Julie Andrews) for her son Prince Charming (Rupert Everett) to rescue and marry Princess Fiona. The king hires Puss in Boots (Antonia Banderas) to kill Shrek, but when he is unsuccessful he joins them. Shrek and crew steal a happily ever after potion from the fairy god mother, which turns he and fiona into humans, but will he end up with Fiona. It is family fun after all.
The animation is top notch and the DVD looks great, but I hate these new snap closed DVD cases. It also has some extras like “technical goofs” and some stupid games. The dvd also has forced trailers (yuck). Still a good and enjoyable DVD.
