Satoshi Kon’s series continues, and it gets even
stranger, after starting to come together in the last volume, and then completely falling apart, these 3 episodes go in a completely different direction with mostly completely new characters (except the character Maromi). This series continues really strong, and I really don’t know what is going on.

REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS…. 

HAPPY FAMILY PLANNING. Has 2 men meeting with Maromi backpacks and looking for a woman, who turns out to be a little girl who they met online. They are trying to commit suicide. They run from her, but she catches them, and they keep getting stopped, first the building they are in destroyed, then someone jumps onto the train tracks first, then the branch they are on breaks, and then they see Shonen Bat, and the oldest of them realizes that they no longer have shadows, and they walk off looking for a new way to die.

ETC. Are stories told by 4 women in front of apartment complexes, each getting more ridiculous about Shonen Bat, and they keep making fun of the stories of the new wife of a Screenwriter, finally when she gets home her husband has been attacked by Shonen Bat, and all she wants is to find out how it happened!
