M*A*S*H Season 3 created by Larry Gelbart (1974-1975)
16 October 2006The last of the initial run of the show before there started to be cast members and ending with the saddest episode of the entire run of the series. This is another great season and well worth checking out.
Alan Alda plays Captain “Hawkeye” Pierce, Wayne Rogers plays Captain “Trapper” John McIntyre, Mclean Stevenson as Lietenant Colonel Henry Blake, Loretta Swit is Major Margaret Houlihan, Larry Linville is Major Franklin Burns, Gary Hurghoff is Corporal “Radar’ O’Rielly and Jamie Farr is MAxwell Q. Klinger.
THE GENERAL FLIPPED AT DAWN has Harry Morgan as an insane general that wants to move the camp to the front, but is too nuts.
RAINBOW BRIDGE has the doctors doing a prisoner exchange with North Koreans, which is almost screwed up by the idiocy of Frank.
ALCOHOLICS UNANIMOUS has Frank in charge of the camp, and he illegalizes Alcohol, but no one seems able or willing to follow.
ADAM’s RIB has Hawkeye ordering takeout ribs from a place in Chicago, and does everything to get them, but when they finally have them wounded arrive.
HOUSE ARREST has Hawkeye put under house arrest for hitting Frank, but when Frank is caught with a female colonel, the charges are quickly dropped.
ABYSSINIA HENRY is the saddest show of the series, where Henry is discharged, and when he leaves the camp gets a letter saying his plane was shot down and he never got home to his family. This still brings a tear to my eye, no matter how many times I see it.

Such a great show, and so good here with the original cast.
