House M.D. Season 2 created by David Shore (2005-2006)
25 January 2008As I said in the last review I had barely seen any of this Season, and it is really good, maybe even better than the first Season, but at least as good. This is an amazing show and Hugh Laurie is one of the best actors on television. It is amazing enough that he gets rid of his accent, but his characterization of House is absolutely fantastic. This show is a must see.
All the characters are back, the surly Doctor Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) his boss Doctor Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) his best friend Doctor James WIlson (Robert Sean Leonard) and his House’s 3 employees Doctor Eric Foreman (Omar Epps), Doctor Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) and Doctor Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer).
REVIEW CONTAINS SOME SPOILERS…

This Season we get to meet House’s parents, his ex Marine pilot father John House (the great R. Lee Ermey) and his wife Blythe (Diane Baker). And we can see that House never wants to see them, because they are always honest, and they make him feel bad for being their crippled and horribly unhappy son.
Cameron gets AIDs infected blood on her, and then takes speed and ends up sleeping with Chase, but just as a one night stand. Cameron then doesn’t want to see the results, but of course they turn out alright.
We see that Foreman isn’t happy, and when House gets in trouble, he is made the boss, and he revels in it. And Foreman proves he is not a friend to the others, and gets house to sign off on a medical paper for a journal that Cameron had already written, but then gets so sick he almost dies, and Cameron of course forgives him, because she can never be that angry.
And the Season ends with the husband of a former patient who comes in and shoots House. House spends the rest of the episode arguing with his shooter in ICU, and trying to solve a case, but it isn’t until he realizes that he is unconscious that he can wake up, and tell Cameron to get Cuddy to use a drug treatment on him that has the possibility of ending his leg pain.

Another great Season. This show had really hit it’s stride by this point. Quite enjoyable.
