Undercover by BIlly Chung Siu Hung (2007)
28 August 2007Yet another movie about the horrible life of an undercover cop, though this one even with the great Sam Lee is an absolutely terrible film. What was producer Andre Lau Wai Keung thinking? This is terrible!! Even the badly shot HD photography is not the issue though, the story is bad, and completely contrived with too many coincidences and horrible flashbacks which are only shots and not scenes, the performances suck, and you never really like anyone. Shawn Yue is a horrible actor, and is at his worst here. This is a total waste, and you should not waste your time.
We start in quick flashback to see that Feng (Shwan Yue) was an undercover cop who busted some triads, but 4 years later is not doing too well as a cop. He is always doing drugs with his drug dealer friend Fai (Sam Lee Chan Sam) who has just done a major deal with some big time drug dealers, and working on a case of a skeleton that the cops find, and he throws up and passes out over. Then when out doing drugs with Fai, who he has just found out is married, a guy comes up for a smoke and sees they are doing drugs, and he is a cop. Feng doesn’t stop the cop, so Fai grabs the gun and shoots him. The guys girlfriend might have seen them, but they run. They burn the car, but Fai’s drugs are in their so the drug dealers as well as the cops will be after him, and he asks Feng to get him $50,000 so he can run.

Fai waits for Feng at a restaurant, but cops come for him, and he hides, and when Feng shows up so do some other cops, so Fai things he has betrayed him and runs. Feng then keeps looking for him, going to the old neighborhood and getting beaten up, and finding his old girlfriend Sandy (Monie Tung Man Lei). Feng sleeps with Sandy, then realizes she is Fai’s wife, and must hide under the bed when Fai shows up and they make love.
Feng then goes to find Fai, and runs into his old boss (Ken Tong Chun Yip) who beats him up. Feng is investigating the skeleton and they find out it was murder of a triad. And then he finds out they know where Fai will be, so he calls Sandy, and gets Fai to call him. They meet and make friends, though he tells Fai he saw Sandy, and then Fai attacks him because he slept with his wife, and Feng kills him.
Then at the police station the girlfriend of the dead body is brought in, and finders Feng, and we see that Feng and Fai killed him for their boss when he was undercover.

DAMN THIS MOVIE IS TERRIBLE! And the HD didn’t bother me too much, except some serious noise in some scenes that were not lit right, but it is everything else that was even worse. DO NOT SEE THIS ONE, IT IS A COMPLETE WASTER OF TIME!!!
